Amigo specializes in recycling natural, black or mixed color high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastics. Feedstock is ground to flake in our on-site grinders and then processed through our wash line, one of the few on the West Coast, to product a high-quality, recyclable “regrind” HDPE flake. Our clean regrind is then sold to product manufacturers or polymer blenders to make new plastic products with recycled content - closing the recycling loop - and reducing the need for higher cost, virgin resin.
Amigo sources three to six gallon plastic buckets and pails, garbage bins and recycling totes, beverage and bakery trays, crates and other rigid HDPE plastic in any color that meets our standards. Other requirements include the following:
- No cross-link materials. UHMW products (e.g. barrels) considered based on size, description and application.
- Containers may not have contained any hazardous or toxic substances.
- Baled or nested on pallets (about 8' high to maximize load cube).
- Any colors including natural, gray, black, blue or mixed.
